Setting the FOX/Specialized Auto-Sag Rear Shock

  1. Remove the cap to the black air valve. Attach your hand pump and regardless of your body weight, fill the shock to 300 psi.

CAUTION:  To avoid potential shock failure requiring repairs not covered by the warranty, never exceed 300 psi of air pressure.

  2. Remove the red air release valve cap and set it aside where you won't lose it.

Note:  the red air release valve cap is specially sized.

CAUTION:  Never under any circumstances attach your pump to the red air release valve and attempt to pump any air into the shock. Doing this will cause irreparable damage to the red release valve.

  3. Position your bike next to a wall or table to support yourself, or as shown below, have someone hold and steady your bike as you settle your full weight into the saddle.

  4. Reach down and depress the red air release valve until the hiss of releasing air pressure completely stops.

  5. Replace the red air release valve cap, and you're done, ready to ride.
